BAKED POTATOES WITH CHEDDAR AND CHIVES

When it comes to finding the perfect side dish for a meat based dinner, look no further than the twice baked potato. Rich and creamy with flavor of melted cheese and chives, but still hearty enough to stand up and compliment a piece of red meat, pork or chicken. Here is a twice baked potato recipe that will leave the guests clamoring for more. And the best part is, the preparation is a lot easier than the name makes it sound.

The full breakfast traditionally comprises several fried foods, usually including bacon and eggs, and is popular throughout Ireland and other parts of the English-speaking world. The name "Bacon and eggs" was popularised by Edward Bernays in the 1920s. To promote sales of bacon, he conducted a survey of physicians and reported their recommendations that people eat hearty breakfasts. Irish bread and butter pudding with cream


Ingredients

100g/3½oz butter, softened
½ loaf white farmhouse bread, sliced
60g/2¼oz sultanas
3 large free-range egg yolks
2 large free-range eggs
40g/1½oz caster sugar
300ml/10½fl oz double cream
300m/10½fl oz milk
2 drops vanilla extract
5 tbsp Irish cream liqueur
20g/¾oz demerara sugar
double cream, to serve
